The Boat story was born from a shared compassion for immigration and a compelling need to challenge cultural attitudes toward refugees – this collaboration works to create a shift in the perception of asylum seekers, through word and image. Although primarily designed for Key Stage 2-3, we hope to capture the imagination of children and adults alike.
As Professor of Children’s Writing at the University of Winchester, Andy has over 150 writing credits, including The Story Keepers film series, broadcast in 105 countries worldwide, 33 books as well as articles and chapters on writing for children.
With over ten years of commercial marketing experience, Stephanie now works as a practicing artist on a number of freelance projects, creating strong linear graphics and bold product design in a range of mediums.
